Guerrillas Killing of Colombian Soldiers

The Catatumbo region of Colombia continues to be a battleground for guerrilla and paramilitary groups vying for control. Following the capture of Pablo Escobar, the area has faced challenges related to governmental oversight and an increase in gang activity. Recently, two Colombian soldiers were killed by paramilitary forces, highlighting the ongoing struggle against these groups, which often operate outside government control and challenge state authority.
